Our Story
We were known as the 300 in the Great Gatsby. We’re the real American aristocracy. The Elite.
Every year, we've found new ways to cement our domination and make you work for us.
Our system relies on several castes, with most of you on the bottom, like the serfs of the middle ages.
Who is elite?
We are the top of the pyramid.
If you think: “I’m elite because I went to Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Brown, etc.,” you are not.
Elite has nothing to do with attendance.
You can’t become elite by slapping a name on a resume. If you put a school name in your LinkedIn profile you’re faux elite.
To be a real elite, you need three things:
Birth.
Money.
Upbringing.
The real elite all come from the same stock, a specific lineage. We’re the American aristocracy after all.
We know who we are, and you’re not one of us. The Vanderbilts tried to marry into us because they were not elite. If the Vanderbilts weren’t elite, your little family tree is not even close.
Our money is old, really, really old. Rockefeller and Carnegie that’s new money to us. We own or owned the land your on now. We now control major stakes in every major company.
But, to remain elite you must be brought up in an elite household. You must learn the ways of being above everyone else.
What it means to be elite.
Monopoly isn’t a game for us. That’s real life. You’re playing in our world. We’re always in control, even if we’re not in the room.
Our wealth has been around for generations and continues to be held for generations to come.
We have summer homes in Rhode Island, Bar Harbor, or Nantucket that have been in the family for generations. These are not ostentatious, nouveau riche homes. Our homes are stately.
Like our stately homes, hidden behind hedge rows or old fences, we’re always there, hidden in plain sight.
We’ve been able to fade from the spotlight while exercising control. Ceding the spotlight to the nouveau riche and faux (internet) riche who flaunt their transitory wealth.
The nouveau riche are what you think of as the rich. The Vanderbilts, the Chases, the Rockefellers. These people are “new” money to us.
Worse are the faux (internet) riche. The Zuckerberg, Theil, and anyone who labels themselves “private equity” or “investors”. These people think that a little bit of recent money makes them elite, like they can buy their way into the club.
Yes, we let the nouveau riche and faux riche attend our events and join our country clubs, but that’s really for fun - to see them strut about as if they now belong. They are never invited into the back room, to our homes.
The fakers, faux elite: our minions.
Our greatest triumph arose from an experiment. Direct control requires too much focus and manpower, so like Mortimer and Randolph Duke in the movie Trading Places we allowed some lower ranks to start directing the rest. That was the birth of the faux elite or fakers. Like the little yellow minions, there seems to be an endless number of them.
The faux elite thinks they are elite because they went to Harvard or Yale, or some other school. Attending a particular school does not make the faux elite an elite any more than attending a movie makes them a star. But, to ensure that they feel elite, this group ruthless pushes the rest of the masses - the vox populi - down beneath their boots. This caste system works to our benefit, so we allow these little faux elite/faker minions to think they are elite.
This system worked great until the baby boom. After WWII, to keep the vox populi (you) in line, we expanded the faux elite to include places like Stanford, Berkley, Northwestern, and Michigan (someone really wanted to see how far our power stretched to make a football school pretend to be elite). As the faux elite expanded, they became even more ruthless about discriminating against anyone who didn’t attend a faux elite school.
Despite this, and as part of the control, the myth of education persists. As if getting an education and doing well at any school matters. It does not.
There are too few high-paying or high-status positions and more than enough faux elite graduates to fill them. Good luck getting into the Justice Department or Treasury if you’re not not faux elite. And, good luck getting a plum position at a large corporation. A few may get past the blockers, but the vast majority do not. The bouncers have to make a few exceptions or the population might finally realize they’re being totally excluded and used.
Pushing you down beneath their boots.
The system is constantly self-reinforcing. The people who appear to run things, the VP, Senators, most of the Congressional staff, their campaign managers and directors. They are all faux elite. Eventually, they report up to us.
Some of the faux elite think they can emulate Mortimer and Randolph Duke and run a trading places game, but the results are usually hilarious. Example: Graham Planter. Two faux elite from Yale and Harvard picked that trust fund kid (a faux elite scion) out of obscurity and pushed him to the top of a Senate ticket in a pivotal state. Then it blew up. Or was that intentional? Since there are faux elite on all sides, directing the Susan Collins campaign too, maybe it was done deliberately. That’s the point. You don’t know. The control is always there.
We tell you what to think.
We own the media.
The Atlantic, the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal, and even Fox News answer to us. All major media publications are run and written by faux elites. We make the news, fake or otherwise, and tell you what to think. What makes news, what is in your feed, shapes your mind, your thinking, and what we want you to focus on.
If you dare to think something that we don’t want, the media pushes you back into conformance and distracts you from what really matters.
Right now, our faux elite writers are complaining about Trump. His excesses. Constant complaining about Trump this and Trump that…
But, the real story is the Supreme Court. Who ceded Trump all those powers he’s “abusing”? The Supreme Court. And what is the Supreme Court filled with? Faux elite. Occasionally you’ll read a sporadic story about a single decision, but nothing consistent. That’s intentional. Distract with Trump stories, while the court strips you of your rights and creates a new kingship.
The myth of the faux elite.
The media also reinforces the faux elite’s prominence so frequently, that everyone believes it’s true. A person isn’t “qualified” for a position if they aren’t faux elite (i.e., attended “Harvard”) and you believe this is true.
For example, the media labels Sean Duffy as “unqualified” to be U.S. Secretary of Transportation, despite being both a former US House member and lawyer, while that same media labels Pete Buttigieg as “qualified” for the very same position, even though he served only as a college town mayor beforehand.
Why? Mayor Pete is faux elite, he went to Harvard. He even worked for our favorite little faux elite incubator McKinsey & Company (so many little chicken minions are hatched from there). We’re even toying with putting him up for president. Why not, the only “qualification” is the one you’ve been internalized to believe: he went to Harvard. They are better than you, and we are better then them. That’s a caste system.
You’re in the Matrix and you’re powering us, you little batteries.
Stagnating the economy.
We are creating a new serfdom. Inflation and immobility, and eventually stagflation. Look at the numbers, they are perfect. There is very little movement anymore; most people are living within a miles of where they grew up. If you can’t move up, why move? We’re locking you in place like the serfs of the middle ages. Should we start changing your names back to your occupations? Like John the Paver, or Sam the Mechanic. Those have a nice ring to them.
A stagnating economy only makes us richer. Our money is old and comes from land. Who do you think you’re renting from? The Empire State building is renting from us. Our money is unaffected by the inflationary costs we’re forcing on you. Meanwhile, you spend more of your daily pay just to live.
A better future is a fantom.
You go into debt for an education that doesn’t matter because the faux elites make sure that only graduates of their schools are hired for the “good” jobs.
Our media keeps pushing the idea of education as a great equalizer, even though the numbers show that is false. We’re still pushing kids to go to college in every high school in America. It’s all part of the Matrix. Of course, we have to make it look like someone from the vox populi is getting through and succeeding.
The media features a few people who “made it,” as if this is the Hunger Games and occasionally someone other than District 1 wins (the faux elite are District 1 in case you didn’t get it). We let you try to tear each other down, with District 1 keeping you in line, and we win every time.
But, if you dig a little deeper the truth is there. Most of the people who start a business already had money; they were faux elite or children of faux elite. Try starting a business without money.
We control the banks. We don’t lend to poor people, the vox populi - you. When we do hand out a few dollars (again the Matrix has to have some outlets or your little brains will reject it), we make you jump through so many hoops and put your whole existence up as collateral. You go bankrupt and we take it all. That’s what happens most of the time, and the other small percentage you grind yourself just to pay your bills. We’re thinking of starting the debtor’s prison again. Stay tuned.
The economy is stagnating and you are locked into a job that barely (or doesn’t) pay your expenses. Meanwhile, kids from Harvard are Instagramming European vacations that you’re paying for with your labors. We’re sorry but, the faux elite get the crumbs off our plates, and sadly they are greedy little mice. There’s only a little dust left for the rest of you.
You’re Controlled.
The control is so pervasive, like the Empire without the rebels ever taking shape. We’ve choked you into submission slowly over 250 years because there was no Cassian Andor to shock you into action.
We’ve co-opted every little movement you started, including MAGA. Our little faux-elites have infiltrated that and run it.
You can’t break through the faux elites, let alone get to us. You’d have to completely reject the faux elites and exclude them and start doing business only among yourselves.
You’d need to start a movement like the bus boycotts from the Civil Rights era. For a boycott to work, you’d need to look at a business, an applicant, a writer, and then check if they are from Harvard, Yale, etc. and then reject them immediately. You simply don’t have it in you. Until you’re ready to take that step, you’ll keep on getting the crumbs from crumbs.
